Saw the “Calibrate Compass” screen one time when I started some app on my Motorola Bravo. Problem was, that the compass was off – way off as far as I could tell. But trying to get back to the “Calibrate” screen was driving me crazy. Understand that my Bravo has Android 2.2, and was brand new.
A search (Google) for “How to calibrate Android Compass” got me all kinds of information about “flipping it over and over” or “using the figure eight”, but none wanted to actually tell you where to start. They talked about apps that used the compass and how some were better than others, but DID NOT help anyone start the calibration/recalibration process.
My frustration level was growing.
