Needed to resurrect some old documents and convert them to Word or ODT. Attempts to open or create a new document in Symphony would give an error…
“internal error has occurred: GetStorage, name ‘No Content!'”.
Thanks to Mindwatering.com for having the answer.
The file common.xcu OpenOffice/Symphony file has corrupted because of a crash while Symphony was running. If you have a backup, restore it. Otherwise, you can delete the folder: ..\install program directory\data\workspace\.sodc
When you delete this folder, Symphony will automatically create new preferences from default. (Yes, you will lose any customizations.)
Found my file at: DIRECTORY_WHERE_INSTALLED\IBM\Lotus\Symphony\data\.sodc
\user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office
Renamed the file NOT the folder (just in case that was NOT the right one file) and then restarted Symphony. Once open, was able to create a new document and perform other functions. Back in business!
