Firefox Showing “chevron-right”

There I was, in a rush to take care of business on the MYHealthcare website. I was already frustrated that they did not have the latest documents available for download, now I was seeing text or hex codes AS LINKS that should have been symbols. A search on the MYHealthcare Help page did not do me any good. They simply said “use an approved browser,” which meant MS Edge, Chrome or Safari, AND they offered no help to resolve the issue.

Well, Edge/Chrome/Safari wasn’t going to be one of my choices.

Tried another search, only this time I went to the Firefox “Help” and got taken to a link [https://support.mozilla.org/si/questions/1400786] that answered the question. By default, Firefox lets you set the font you want to use for web pages, BUT, many web pages load fonts from another source in CSS when they use @font-face CSS rules. Web page designers can use the rule to get their custom font on the page when it loads. @font-face requires two properties; font-family and src.

Followed the instructions in the link – went to “Settings – General – Fonts – Advanced and checked the box for “Allow pages to choose their own fonts…”

DONE!
