The Big C – Chapter 7

Posted on September 17, 2026September 25, 2026 by joe

It seems my return to teen years has shifted. The rash has gotten better on my forehead, nose bridge, behind ears and at the top of my neck. HOWEVER my nose still has issues. If I pinch my nose, there are blood spots; and I can still feel lots of pimples on my nose. Oh well, at least the ointment that used to sting is peaceful.

Good News: My latest tests of CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen) was 9. It is now 6.6! That is a far cry for a starting level of 170. Praise God the bad stuff in the tumor(s) it getting less and less. This is very good. Completed another round of chemo yesterday and seem to be OK today.

Still waiting for my Oncologist and Surgeon to connect and I am looking forward to dates to start getting back to normal. Thanks to all of those who have been praying for me and my family. Laurie and I are especially thankful for Kevin and Tim Suttle for taking time to work from our home in Rio Vista or drive me to appointments in Sacramento and Vacaville. Thanks to to their families and employers for the time they spend with us.

Key Verse

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. 1 Corinthians 3:18-19
