Wanderings

Pardon My Politics…BUT

Someone is not telling the truth, or something. See if your mind works like mine. They say that producing more oil in the U.S. won’t lower the price of a barrel of oil. Then why has the price of a barrel gone down over $25 since GW rescinded an off-shore drilling ban (while Congress and Arnold work on making sure it does not resume)? We have not produced any more oil – it looks like just the fact that we (the U.S.) could start drilling off-shore had some impact.

I will agree that we need to use less oil – find ways to conserve or better use a resource. That makes sense. When others think they have us over the barrel (no pun intended), they will continue to bully us.

The thinking here is that we need to do our own investigations rather than believe everything the politicians we elect or the major news sources.

Then too, there’s ANWR and ethanol and CFL and “Hybrid” vehicles. Questions flood my mind, but my thoughts can be put on hold – have you spent the time investigating how your energy can be saved? After all, we are the caretakers of what HE gave us (whether we want to be or not).
