This one is against two Bible publishers, and is being brought by a man who happens to be homosexual. He is representing himself, and claims that their interpretation of I Cor. 6.9 has caused him great damage. You can read about his lawsuit HERE.
Seems strange that this will make it to court. Some lawyer will hear about it, and make it a class action lawsuit that will include everyone who has had sex outside of marriage, those who worship any kind of idol or who have committed adultery. Oh my! What a way to deal with out guilt. Blame it on the Bible interpreters. "They make me feel guilty, and have damaged me."
This will have to go down in history as one of those court cases that eat up the government's and the company's money – and all for no reason other that someone's feelings got hurt. Why doesn't that man go study greek, read the words in the oldest manuscripts, and then make his case?
Oh, by the way, the list of "bad people" continues in verse 10, and leaves very few people in the world untouched. Maybe we should join the bandwagon. Wonder how Mr. Suer (the person doing the suing) would feel about using his logic to excuse the way people live their lives – after all, isn't that what he is asking for?
