Need to get back in the groove… Got this from a newsletter that Howard Putnam sends out (he used to be CEO of Southwest Airlines). He has an amazing story about how Southwest got to be so fantastic. He says they hire people with “the attitude”, and teach them to do their job. Made all the difference in the world, because it’s hard to teach (or train) people to have “the attitude”. Anyhow, he said this week, “Shining stars are superior to meteorites that crash and burn.” Think about it…how many meteorites do you know by name? How many stars?
